15th Montreal Ukrainian Festival

This year the annual Montreal Ukrainian Festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary. Despite the difficult year and unsettling news from Ukraine, it is important for the Ukrainian-Canadian community to stay united and continue to foster our culture and share it with the Canadian public.
This year’s festival headliners include a break-through Ukrainian rock band ‘Rock-H’ from the Transcarpathia region (Ukraine); a famous contemporary band ‘Zapovid’ (Toronto); Gerdan musicians from Washington, D.C., as well as numerous dance ensembles and artists from Montreal.
For the first time, the Montreal Ukrainian Festival is partnering with the International Human Rights Film Festival ‘DocuDays UA’ to present several films which aim to explain recent events in Ukraine through historical context.
We are also proud to host a photo exhibition by Yuriy Bilak entitled The Hutsuls: in the shadow of the Carpathians’. This unique exhibition introduces visitors to the cultural and religious customs of the Ukrainian highland ethno-cultural group.
